MITCON e–school has been chosen by Government of Maharashtra for “Maharashtra IT Awards – 2008” in the category of IT HRD Training. Award was presented at the hands of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh on 20th August 2008 in Mumbai. Dr. Pradeep Bavadekar, Managing Director of MITCON Consultancy Services received the award for MITCON e-school.
The award has been given to us in recognition of the developmental work done in the past 8 years for the State of Maharashtra and its social impact.
Highlights of MITCON e-schools developmental initiatives in Maharashtra:
More than 250 entrepreneurs are running MITCON e-school authorised centers thereby giving employment benefit to at least 3 families per education center. Thus, MITCON e-school is directly impacting at least 750 families for livelihood generation.
Skill based IT courses of MITCON have helped thousands of students to acquire employment / self employment oriented knowledge.
Students of MITCON e-school are provided free accident insurance policy in association with United Insurance Co. Ltd. of Rs.50,000/-, thereby promoted insurance in rural areas. Hundreds of students have been insured under this insurance scheme.
Trained more than 4000 nos. backward class and below poverty level students in Aurangabad, Chandrapur, Pune, Ahmednagar and Dhule. These students were trained on various IT skills to enhance their employability.
Trained 2493 nos. of Jalgaon and Amravati Z.P. school teachers in IT literacy and using ICT for student’s benefit. MITCON received an appreciation letter from the Jalgaon Z.P. CEO, Dr. Ramaswamy N. (IAS).
Provided training to over 8000 nos. primary school students of Pune Municipal Corporation using ICT for enhancing understanding of academic knowledge and computing skills.
Under MKCL's MS-CIT initiative, MITCON e-school has trained more than 5,50,000 students in Maharashtra through its 600+ education centers. Thereby, contributed in Maharashtra Government's initiative of spreading IT literacy in the State.
Provided free training to more than 300 nos. school teachers, 600 nos. ITI teachers of Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and 1364 nos. teachers of Directorate of Vocational Education (DVE) on award winning CAD/CAM/CAE software, Pro/Engineer Wildfire 3.0.
